Associate Control Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be responsible for controls systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up assistance.


REQUIREMENTS

The individual for this position must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Software Engineering. Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences. Experience with computer systems, engineering design products, document processing, spreadsheets, engineering analysis tools, presentation development applications and the like is necessary.

Control Systems Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be responsible for controls systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up.


REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must have proven experience in PLC logic and programming with any of the following PLCs: Triconex, Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, AutomationDirect, etc. Proven experience in HMI or SCADA programming and configuration in any of the following software packages Wonderware, Rockwell, Intellution, GE Cimplicity, Citect, etc. Panel design and layout, bill of materials, and wiring schematic capabilities are expected with this position. The candidate must have experience working with PI&D drawings and loop diagrams and must be able to develop simple and complex loop diagrams, instrument indexes, and wiring/connection diagrams. He/she must have the ability to properly design DCS and PLC installations, including control room layouts, networking systems, I/O Marshalling and Terminal Cabinets, power supplies, interposing relays, transducers and other instrument and control hardware and installations. A good understanding of process and logic control theory, loop and logic functionality as well as know how to design, install, test, and commission control system loops and circuits is mandatory in this position. The ideal candidate is very comfortable working in the field with both contractor and client staff and excellent interpersonal skills are a must.  The candidate will have a proven ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion. This person will be the project technical lead and may be responsible for some project management activities. Candidates must possess a BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer or Software Engineering. A minimum of 5 years experience in controls and automation sytems is required. Experience in Automotive, HVAC, Building Automation, or Water/Wastewater industries is a plus.

Control System Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be responsible for field support of controls systems testing, start-up, and troubleshooting.  In addition, the technician will be involved in control panel and cabinet fabrication, integration, and installation.


REQUIREMENTS

The candidate must have proven experience working with industrial control systems and a fundamental understanding of control logic.  Experience with any of the following PLCs or controls is a plus: Triconex, Allen Bradley, GE Fanuc, ASIC.  The ability to wire and troubleshoot wiring based on loop sheets, schematics, and wiring diagrams is expected with this position.  He/she must have the ability to test and troubleshoot DCS and PLC installations, including network systems, I/O Marshalling and Terminal Cabinets, power supplies, interposing relays, transducers and other instrument and control hardware and installations. The ideal candidate is very comfortable working in the field with both contractor and client staff.  The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to develop and implement standard testing and troubleshooting practices. A minimum of 5 years experience in similar work in controls and automation sytems is required. Experience in Automotive, HVAC, Building Automation, or Water/Wastewater industries is a plus.
